I was in a comic book store tossing up between two Captain America comics, when a neck beard came up to me and asked “first comic? no clue obviously” and I instinctually replied “first time speaking to a girl? no clue obviously”

I’m gonna work at it until this is my instinctual reply to this shit.

Hey tumblr community! i need your help.

There’s been a student movement in Bangladesh and hundreds of thousands students have been protesting for a week for safer roads and justice for those who have been killed in road accidents. I will include a post of someone from Bangladesh so you can learn more about the incident.

by now, the Mobil Data and WiFi services in the country have been restricted so the news of students being killed and attacked won’t get out. Students in Bangladesh are using the hashtag #WeWantJustice to spread the news. Please use the hash tag on twitter because they don’t have access to social media right now. Here are some more pictures of the movement that I collected from the internet:

Please reblog, repost, share- do whatever you can to get international media attention and help them. These are children. These are students. We can’t just sit around watch them get killed! They students are just as important as the students in the U.S. They deserve to be safe. They deserve to live. Spread the word.

An update as of August 6th:

The government’s student body (BCL) has started attacking university students inside their own campuses. Police have thrown teargas shells peaceful protestors, nearly all of them school, college and university students. Students have been teargassed inside their own campuses.

A recording is going around, unconfirmed, of a supposed BCL member telling another to attack any college student they see in certain areas of the city, not leave a single one standing.

Reports have come in that at least 4 boys have been killed, 2 students have had their eyes gouged out, 4 girls have been raped and dozens more are being helped captive at BCL headquarters and been or are being repeatedly raped. Nobody can confirm anything. The government shut down mobile internet yesterday for some time, they’re limiting access to Facebook (where most of the movement shares its news), they’re bullying local media into staying silent or portraying the protestors as violent or politically-motivated. They sent out a mass text claiming the rape and murder allegations are false.

These are school and college-going students who spearheaded this movement. 14-18 year olds. All they wanted was safer roads.

The government is trying to stop the flow of news, blocking hashtags and possibly tracking Facebook posts. (I’ve heard students are being abducted from coaching centers, students being arrested for ‘sharing false information’). Please share the news as much as you can. International media attention will hopefully get the international community to put pressure on the Bangladesh government and get them to stop this state-sanctioned murder of its students.

You can get updates/news on the situation by following the Twitter tag, but a lot of the images are disturbing, so please take caution.

Bangladesh and its students need help.
